When and where is the next training?

The next Work In Work Out 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is a full weekend course that runs from 5th August to 29th October 2023, 9am to 5pm.

​

This training will take place in-person at Jyan Yoga Studio, located at 64 Prinsep Street, #02-01, Singapore 188667. 

Do I need to be an advanced practitioner to join?

It will be a Hatha and Vinyasa based training with the tools to create and customize your own yoga sequences, such as peak-pose sequencing.

​

The intent is to support you in cultivating a unique teaching style that honors your individual perspective on yoga, giving you tools to practice and teach yoga safely and effectively from a place of authenticity.

How much experience practicing yoga is required to participate in the program?

Our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training program includes a vigorous practice schedule. Participants must be willing to commit to a strong physical practice and be dedicated to personal growth. If you are new to yoga, spend at least 2-3 months practicing yoga and get a good feel for it prior to participating in this or any other intensive yoga teacher training to make the most of your experience.

What is included in the cost of training?

The tuition fee includes our teacher training manuals, full participation in the teacher training program, membership to all classes at Jyan Yoga Studio in-person and online for the duration of the training  (worth $744), and a Yoga Starter Kit which consists of an Align Yoga Mat, 2 blocks and 1 strap (worth $199). 

How much does the training cost?

The full price of the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is $3,900. Included in that investment, is a $1,200 deposit is required upon registration and acceptance into the training. The remaining balance of $2,700 is to be paid in full prior to the program start date. 

What if I don't want to teach yoga?

There are many students who participate in yoga teacher training programs for personal development, and have no intention of teaching yoga at all.

Whether or not you plan to teach yoga after training, yoga teacher training is one of most beautiful gifts you can give to yourself. It is an investment in your personal growth, an exploration and realization of your full potential self.

How do I apply?

You may express interest and submit a 200-Hour YTT Application Form here.

Upon review, the lead trainer will set up an interview with you either by phone or in-person.

​

Once accepted into the program, you will be directed to pay a non-refundable $1200 deposit for the 200-Hour Program. The non-refundable deposit is due upon acceptance to the program, and is required to secure your spot in the training.

What happens if I miss one of the training sessions?

To receive a certificate of completion, candidates require a 90% attendance and complete all of the training requirements.

In the event of an emergency, unforeseen circumstance, or unavoidable conflict, candidates are required to catch up missed sessions with their peers, and fulfilling work assignments that were scheduled for the day.

​

To fully benefit from your experience in the training, make it a priority to commit to yourself and to the training by attending all of the scheduled sessions and completing all additional requirements on time.

Which path is suitable for me?

If you want to deepen your understanding of yoga asanas, the right alignments, modifications and variations, yoga immersion is for you. If you want to hone yourself as a yoga teacher by learning not just the asanas but also the philosophy, method to teach, and explore the business of yoga, yoga teacher training is for you.

Do I need to be an advanced practitioner to join?

You do not need to be able to perform any advanced poses, arm balances, or inversions to take any of the paths. If you are passionate about yoga and have the desire to deepen your knowledge, then you have everything you need to begin!

What is the typical schedule for the training days?

You can check the schedule section above foor details. Typically the day will start with an hour of morning practice, followed by 90 minutes of 'work out' sessions before we break for lunch. After lunch there will be 'work in' sessions for about 90 minutes and then we'll end the day with topics from method and business.

Can I use skills future as YTT fees?

Not for now.

What are the pre-requisites to join?

There are no pre-requisites, just an open mind and a willing heart.

Will there be opportunities to teach?

Yes. You will pracrice teach your fellow students and towards the end of the training you will teach classes to friends and family as well.

Will I be qualified to teach yoga after completing this training?

Yes, the program is thoughtfully crafted to give you all the tools you need to safely and effectively teach yoga. After completing all program requirements which includes 90% attendance, practice-teach sessions, quizzes, work assignments, written theory and practical exams, you will receive a certificate verifying your successful completion of the Work In Work Out 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program at Jyan Yoga Studio, that will allow you to teach Yoga anywhere in the world.

What is the payment or refund policy?

Full payment is required by the start of the program. For all trainings, if you cancel within 15 days before the start of the program, your initial deposit of $1200 will be forfeited and you will receive the remaining partial refund. Once the program begins, the full program tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.
