Welcome to the Jyan Yoga family!

So as part of a family, house rules apply.

Please adhere to the rules to maintain a great experience for everyone! Thank you!

Please arrive to class at least 5 minutes early. Latecomers who arrive more than 5 minutes after class starts will not be allowed to join the class.

Please talk softly in the studio especially when a class is in session. Mobile phones must be switched off or turned to silent mode (with vibration off) when a class is in session. Please respect everyone around you and do not step on any mats except for the one that you are using.

Please book your classes online at MINDBODY. You may book classes up

to two weeks in advance. You may also drop-in without a booking. However, if the class is full, you’ll be put on our waitlist until a mat is released.

If you made a booking for class but do not show up when the class starts, your mat

will be released to those on our waitlist.

You may cancel a class no less than 6 hours before class starts. Late cancellations

or no shows for each class will be counted as one session deducted from your package.

If a class is fully booked, you may still sign up and put yourself on our waitlist.  As soon as you get a spot, an automated email will be sent to you via MINDBODY. It is your responsibility to check on your waitlist status as we will not be contacting you.

Before Class: No shoes are allowed in our studio. Please leave your shoes along the side of the stairs and place your bags in the cubby holes at the lounge. Face towels are chargeable at a nominal fee of $1 and bath towels are $2.

After Class:

Please wipe it off your sweat on the mat after class and dispose of all rubbish in the bins provided in the studio. Put your used towels into the laundry basket just outside the bathroom or at the lounge. Please use only what you need and limit your shower time to 5 minutes if there are people waiting and 10 minutes if there is no one waiting.

We open 15 minutes before the first class and close 30 minutes after the last class ends. If you need to take a shower after the last class of the day, please do so quickly!

Please do not leave anything behind after class. If you did, please give us a call or send us an email within the day. Any items left behind will be removed and disposed of without notice at the end of each day if we are not notified.

Before class, please notify us or our yoga teachers, should you and/or your children

have any medical conditions or physical limitations.

Children below 12 years are not allowed to join our regular classes. Children above 12 years will have to pay full-price for a regular class. If the child wishes to leave halfway through class, the class will not be refunded. Participants should not be disruptive and affect other students.

It is your responsibility to inform the instructor of limitations before class begins. Yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular tension. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. If you experience any pain or discomfort, you will listen to your body, discontinue the activity, and ask for support from the instructor. You assume full responsibility for any and all damages, which may incur through participation.

Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment.

Yoga is not recommended and is not safe under certain medical conditions.

By signing up for a class or package, you affirm that a licensed physician has

verified your good health and physical condition to participate in such a fitness program.

In addition, you will make the instructor aware of any medical conditions

or physical limitations before class. If you are pregnant, become pregnant or

you are post-natal or post-surgical, by purchasing a class or package, you have

your physician's approval to participate. You also affirm that you alone are responsible

to decide whether to practice yoga and participation is at your own risk.

Jyan Yoga reserves the right to amend our house rules from time to time without notice.
